What this site and the Recipe Lab apps know about you: very little. No analytics, no ads, no tracking.
Who is responsible

This website
The site has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
It is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles your IP address and basic request data to deliver the pages and keep them secure. Cloudflare may process this data outside the EU under the EU standard contractual clauses.
If you pick a language in the header, a cookie named lang remembers it for one year. Your theme choice and a closed Studio card are remembered in your browser. They are used only to show the site the way you chose.
The install video is loaded from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you press play. From then on Google's privacy policy applies to it.
The Studio waitlist
If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the language of the site you were reading and the date. The legal basis is your consent.
We use it for one thing: to email you when Recipe Lab Studio launches. We do not share or sell it.
The form is protected against bots by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and IP address. The list is stored in a Cloudflare database.
We keep your address until that launch email has been sent, and delete the list within 30 days after. To be removed sooner, write to [email protected].
Tips and sponsorship
Tips go through Ko-fi or GitHub Sponsors. They process the payment under their own privacy policies; we receive the name and email address you gave them and the amount.
Recipe Lab, the camera app
Recipe Lab runs on the camera. It has no account, collects nothing and sends nothing to us. Its Wi-Fi transfer talks only to your own phone.
Recipe Lab Studio, the phone app
Your photos, edits and recipes stay on your phone. The app has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and uploads nothing.
It uses the network only to talk to your camera over the camera's own Wi-Fi, USB to import by cable, and storage access to open your photos and save exports.
Exported JPEGs keep the capture details your camera wrote: camera, lens, exposure and date. Keep that in mind when you share them.
Purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment details; we receive sales reports without them.
When you write to us
We keep your message and address for as long as it takes to answer and follow up, then delete them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable form, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to [email protected].
You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt).
Children and changes
Neither the site nor the apps are aimed at children.
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
